I contacted the company below about the synch and here is their response.
Dear Gale,
The 90 degree (or front facing) Sync Post shown in your image is a custom manufactured item made for Nikon only that was originally used on a recessed lens board. We have checked with Nikon and they list the part as out of stock and no longer available. The solution we could provide is replacing the 90 degree sync post with a standard Copal Sync post (part # CP0/113 $29.85). The post is held on by two small screws and is easily changeable. Your image shows a standard lens board so the solution would actually improve your situation. There is a postage and handling fee of $8.00 in addition to the price of the part.
