RETRACTED FROM SALE.

I bought this cheap locally from a guy because it had a stiff focus ring and the aperture did not work. Long story short, it's still got a stiff focus ring and the aperture isn't currently working.

Glass is very good albeit with a little bit of internal dust, lens is very sharp as it should be. Samples can be provided. Serial number is 480177 and f/32 is in orange, so I'm pretty sure this is an AI or AIS version. I'm not a Nikon guy.

$30 or best, plus shipping.

I'm in 92116 San Diego, CA if you want to calculate shipping costs.

Please PM if interested.

Someone has written me, it is indeed an AI-S lens.

To answer another question: aperture blades are present and intact, aperture is stuck wide open. I had it working at one point but it (along with the focus) has stiffened up again.

I've got one and I really like it, not just for macro work. I think it makes a great lens for normal use too. On mine the aperture blades became sticky so if you stop down much you end up overexposing the film ( because they respond too slowly. I'm going to try the cleaning in this link eventually.

Bump. Tried cleaning it one more time and now the aperture works fine (been a couple weeks since I cleaned it so it should be good to go) but the focus is still very stiff.

FWIW, the stiff focus is most likely the fine threads for the floating element.
The lens comes apart VERY easily but unlike most lenses, from the rear. mount, aperture ring,
stop down assembly and floating element dingus.
There's a very good how-to online including the correct setup for the floater.
