For Sale FS: Nikon 35mm back for 4x5

I've never seen one like this till now. This back has no shutter. The film wind is silky smooth. Could be adapted to fit just about any 4x5 camera with a little effort. It was apparently made as an alternate back for a Polaroid microscope setup. It could be an interesting pinhole camera with a little work. Or whatever you want it to be.

How does one compose and focus the image with this back?

I really have no idea. It was made for a microscope setup and has no viewfinder.
Just a curious piece of history that someone might be able to adapt to a different purpose. I don't think it will fit a standard 4x5 back or Graflok. If it doesn't sell I will make it into a pinhole camera.

Might be a rewind release [SWAG]

It releases the film wind lever to advance to the next frame. Rewind button is on the bottom.

Just a thought.. That darkslide is weird and not needed unless you intent on taking off the back all the time ..and microspcopes don't have a shutter... (hence the use of adapters and normal SLR backs)... BUT... I was just editing the Konica I page on Camerapedia and saw that the Rubicon (the 1940s predecessor of the Konica I) was made as a camera back for x-ray photography (on 35mm film)....with the darkslide as shutter...

Good link ausphoto. Any takers at $50 with free shipping? I'm not in it for the cash so much as to find it a good home where someone might be able to use it. Like I said earlier if it doesn't sell it will become a pinhole project for me.
