This lens is like new, with nearly no signs of wear. A great optic and slightly rare.

Comes with B+W UV filter and caps.

$1300 net to me.

Is that considered one of the legendary Nikon lenses? Never used that lens but have used some nikon pro glass from that era, the build quality is outstanding. They were lenses built for a lifetime. Good luck with the sale!

It was very rare for a time. Still is. And the price was sky high until the new 28/1.4G came out. I've found it to be a very sharp lens, with old school bokeh. I'm selling it to continue to fund equipment for the rental darkroom I'm building. This money will go to an Arkay 150 print fiber print dryer. I'm asking the exact price I paid KEH for it about a year ago.

What film camera gear are you keeping, large format?

Yeah, I have too many cameras to be honest. The LX and 43mm Limited combo is staying, the F6 is staying along with whatever lenses I have at the time...I like the AF-D glass, I would never sell my Rollei 2.8E that I got from Magicflex (highly recommend his work), and in large format I have a Chamonix 57N and an 8x10V. The fact is I just do personal projects now. There was a time when I shot some editorial and wedding work but those days seem to be behind me. So at the moment I just have cameras I like to play with, or that are helpful when I need to test something. Going forward I'd like to be shooting more sheet film, as the results are always so standout from the rest of the work I do, and 35mm for snaps and travel.

I find there is a difference between my 6x7cm Mamiya 7ii negatives and large format, I really intend to do more sheet film work in the future.

That's true, but at the same time I stop myself from getting a 6x7 because I know I'd be so tempted to use it over a 4x5. With the films we have now, the difference is slim, and doing a 3 shot bracket is so much easier.

The Mamiya 7ii in some ways is a limited camera. However in consideration of portability & image quality it is a very useful system. I suspect something like a RZ67 is in more direct "competition" with large format. My sole medium format SLR is the Bronica SQ system, much more portable, but I mostly use this for the excellent 1:1 macro lens.

Very good price! If I was in the US I'd buy in a heartbeat. In EU you'd probably pay close to double that for such a set, in that condition.

Holy Cow I paid 1700 for my copy of this legendary amazing, has glass asph elements not plastic. It works with every F mount camera ever made!

This is a great deal!
