For Sale FS: Nagel Triumph 6x9 Folder

Hi All,

I've had this sitting on a shelf for a few years and I don't use it much as I can't enlarge 6x9 negs.

So, I'm offering it for sale.

It is a Nagel Triumph made around 1929.
It takes 120 film and produces sharp contrasty images.
I've put a couple of rolls through it and had good success with it.
The only problem is that when I got it I noticed that the bellows were starting to separate from the body.
I used a small mount of black adhesive to mend this.
I've since put a roll through it and while the light leak has been largely minimized it could use a little more patching.
I'll leave that chore for the next owner.

The camera is in excellent shape for its age.
No rust that I can see and except for the problem mentioned the bellows are light tight.
Shutter sounds good and functions at all speeds.
The aperture lever moves very freely and the lens, a 10.5 cm F/6.3 Nagel-Anastigmat, is clear and unmarked.
Focus movement is very smooth.

It also comes with the original leather case.

Other than the mending for the light leak, is this a fully functioning camera? Was it modified for 120film or is that its original format?

Yes, other than the light leak it is fully functioning. As I mentioned in the original post I have put a couple of rolls through it.
It has not been modified and it was made for 120 format.

Very tempting as I like folders that take 120.

Here are a couple of scans of negs from the Triumph.
One shows the light leak at the bottom right of the picture.
The other was shot after I fixed the light leak.
There is no leak in the image area since I fixed it but if you examine the negatives you can see a bit of the leak on the edge of the negative outside of the image area, which is not shown on the scan.
If I were to keep it I would probably use it as is.
