Hi Everybody.

I'm cleaning out the closet.

I'm selling a wonderful Minolta XD-7 with a Rokkor MD 50mm f1.4

The camera is in very nice condition. I've changed all the light seals in the back, I haven't changed the mirror bumper. All the functions of the camera work fine. There are some specks in the viewfinder but nothing too annoying. This XD-7 does suffer from what a lot of these do, namely that there is a slight shutter lag when tripping the shutter. It's not something that would bother me but it should be mentioned. If you don't know what I'm talking about check here:

There's also the usual amount of leather shrinkage. The camera comes fitted with new batteries.

I'm asking 40 euros for the body alone.

Also for sale is a very very nice Minolta Rokkor MD 50mm f1.4. This lens is in superb condition. Great glass smooth but firm focus, dry snappy aperture. A truly great lens.

I'm selling this beauty for 60 euros plus shipping.

Buy both for 90 euros plus shipping.

Pictures of everything are here

Great classic camera. I have one in black. The shutter lag does not bother the camera operation at all. The lag is basically a very short delay between tripping the shutter and the shutter actually firing. The shutter speeds are never affected by it. So unless you are using this camera to shoot some very fast action (which is probably not the case with a manual focus camera), the shutter lag is not a problem. Also, you might want to check if the dust is in the viewfinder or the focusing screen.

GLWS.

Hi James.

The dust is inside the viewfinder and I suspect that it's also some tiny pieces of foam from the mirror bumper which I didn't change because it's not very gooey (it should probably be changed in a year or two).
You're right the slight lag is a non issue in most situations. If you want it fixed a standard CLA will take care of the problem.
Thanks for the heads up!

This is, I believe, the same as the XD-11 in the US.

That is true.

XD11 in the US and XD-7 everywhere else.

FYI the shutter lag is really easy to fix. If it's the same problem as mine had, it'll be a little piston beside the lens mount that needs cleaning. Only AE modes are affected.
