This lens would be perfect, if it wasn't for it's flaws!
It's a 150mm f/5.6 Symmar-S that has
character. And by character, I mean lens separation and some Schneideritis. Can't really miss the Damascus blade-like pattern on the front element (those are not reflections!). The Compur #0 shutter seems to be a tad slow for my ear at 1s, but after exercising it some, it kind of gets better. All other shutter speeds sound okay. The cocking lever plastic handle has a chip on the side. Aperture blades are oil free and snappy.
Other than those flaws, it really is a nice lens.
It still makes a decent image on the ground glass. If you're searching for a bargain 150mm lens, you've come to the right place. $120 gets it shipped swiftly to you if you're in the US (international buyers pay a little more for shipping). It's being sold as is with no return, with that said, any other flaw that you may find will probably seem pale in comparison to the ones mentioned above... but it's only $120!
* Lens board not included in the sale, but I could be talked into it.
