Leitz Wetzlar Leicaflex SL body SN 1276570 selling as-is for parts or repair.

No recollection of how I got this but I know I've never had a lens for it, so all info is based on what you can learn without mounting a lens or, obviously, actually running film through it.

Camera winds smoothly and shutter fires on all speeds. B seems fine, but all other slow speeds look and sound exactly the same, probably around 1/30 or wherever the "crossover" is on these bodies. No sound or other evidence of any engagement with a slow speed gear chain. Faster speeds look to be dimmer when shooting with the back open & held up to light so maybe they are good?

Self timer, DOF preview lever, back latch all good.

Viewfinder is generally bright, has a fair number of specks and marks and some yellowing overall. Many of the specks appear to be floating between eye and screen, so may be cleanable but no guarantees. Metering "lollypop" and speed indicator track the speed dial; matching needle floats a little up near a dot printed on the screen (stop down metering mark maybe) so its not mechanically frozen, but I couldn't get it to change with light when I put in a battery - maybe it needs a lens present?

Battery compartment is reasonably clean, some old corrosion has been scraped off the battery tab.

Inside film compartment is nice. Curtains and pressure plate seem just about pristine. Black string light seals look good but the (fabric?) light seal at the hinge is crumpled.

Cosmetics are a little short of true "shelf queen" - there is a dent on the prism (visible in first photo), some dirt and light corrosion on some of the chrome, and the leather is peeling a little on the prism front.

Again, selling strictly as-is. Let me know if there's anything more I can test or describe. Overall the camera operates smoothly and sounds nice - in my totally unfounded opinion, it seems to have potential.

Asking $50 plus $15 shipping (USPS Priority Mail Medium Box - it won't quite fit in the stingy Small Box)

PayPal only, I'll absorb the fee. Thanks for looking!
