For Sale FS - Leitz Focomat V35 Enlarger with Timer ($500)

With a pressing need to downsize before moving, I am selling my Leitz Focomat V35 enlarger. This enlarger is in excellent condition and I will include a timer (LPL Enlarging Timer ET 400). As shown in the photos, this one has the full colorhead, so it's great for making VC prints or split contrast prints. Also, I managed to get one of the last extra lamp bases for the V35, so this one has BOTH the original base and the larger base that permits use of the Philips lamp still in production. I'm including three lamps total with the enlarger, so the buyer will probably never have to worry about replacing a lamp! Wide open, the enlarger is slightly out of alignment, but stopping down solves the problem. It's a great enlarger in excellent condition and a joy to use - the only reason I'm selling it is because I need to downsize my darkroom and I can use my cold-light enlarger for 35mm, even though up to now I've always used the Leitz. As the enlarger is in Ann Arbor, Michigan, buyer will need to pick it up or pay for UPS shipping (about 60 lbs). US buyers only as I do not want to have to deal with customs and international shipping.

Yes, it has the 40mm Focotar 2.8 lens and it's sharp as a tack! I really hate to get rid of this enlarger, but space is becoming a real issue for me, so I'm going to try to do it all with my 4x5 cold light and Schneider lenses. I will ship if you want to pay for that!

By the way, I AM willing to ship, but it weighs about 60 lbs, so shipping by UPS will cost a bit. Also willing to consider any reasonable offer.

I totally would if:

1. I didn't already have 24/7 access to one in a clean darkroom. This would end up in my not-so-clean makeshift basement darkroom
2. If it had a VC head instead of the color head, which my other one already has
3. You were down the street instead of in Michigan

I remember back when I wanted to own one of these SO bad and couldn't afford one. Now $400 with a Focotar? Come on people! Don't make me drive to MI

It IS a seriously good deal! And in great shape - I love this thing and, frankly, don't want to sell it but I do have to downsize and space is an issue. Like I said, I'll ship it by UPS but at 60 lbs or so, it won't be cheap. On the other hand, Michigan is beautiful any time of the year and the temperature will be up to 75 by the end of this week! Come on over! ))
