FS: Leica M5 Black Chrome Body
This M5 body is in excellent condition with some signs of use on the body. As shown there is a small dent on the top edge, a rub mark in front, some minor wear to the bottom plate and bottom edges. The two plastic inserts for the levers are missing but the self-timer lever and preview lever work perfectly. Overall a very clean body.
The shutter curtain looks good, shutter speeds ½ and ¼ are slow but the rest of the shutter speeds sound fine.
The M5 has an easy to use viewfinder. The viewfinder is clean with minor dust, the frame lines for 35, 50, 90 and 135 are very clear and the focus patch is bright and aligned.
The light meter works well with the C.R.I.S. MR-9 adapter and 386 battery. These are installed with the camera. The light meter needle displayed along the bottom of viewfinder is easy to match for correct exposure and overlapping shutter speed dial is easy to turn with your index finger while looking through the viewfinder. I wish other M cameras had this feature!
This is a very well made camera, well designed and easy to shoot with. Comes with instruction manual and body cap.
