This is a solid user camera: a little short on looks but more than makes up for it in how it performs.
As the attached photos show, the camera has average cosmetics. It has various signs of use, such as the telltale scratch of a mounted Leica meter on the top plate and some worn out paint on the film back door frame. Despite these superficial defects, the camera body is in overall good shape. The body is not warped or deformed anywhere.
As for the way it functions, the camera operates flawlessly. In the time that I have had it, it has never failed me. The viewfinder is clear and bright, and the rangefinder patch contrasty and properly aligned. And, going by the one second setting, the shutter speeds sound good and strong.
The flawless operation is just as expected as it was only less than a year and a half ago that it was CLAd by Youxin Ye. At that time, due to some flare that had occasionally shown up when looking through the cameras viewfinder, I also had Youxin upgrade the viewfinder window to a coated window. That upgrade solved the flare problem.
This camera is my back-up Leica M3 body. I am selling it because I am not shooting enough 35mm these days, and as with any M3 in tip-top shape, this one deserves to be used so much more!
I am asking $780 for the camera, using PayPal. Quoted price is for the whole transaction, including shipment by USPS Priority Mail to anywhere in the U.S. I am also open to shipping to Canada, but price will be a little higher to cover the added shipping cost. In any case, the one proviso that I have is that I will only ship to a PayPal Verified address. The camera will come shipped with the generic body cap and neck strap that appear in the attached photos.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about this sale. Thank you for your interest.
