For sale, a 1946 Leica IIIC body. The chrome is in good condition for an immediate postwar body, no pitting and peeling but some brassing. The rangefinder has some gunk in the one window but it's clear and quite contrasty. The body covering is missing, except for one little piece near the lens mount. The shutter curtains look good but they barely move. They give whole new meaning to the word sluggish. But, they aren't jammed so it should be an easy CLA.
As an aside, I will also have some Leica LTM lenses available - I was going to shoot with all of them before listing them. A short list - 50/2 Summar, 50/3.5 Elmar (two of these), 50/2 Summicron (collapsible, non-radioactive), 35/2.8 Jupiter-12 (does not work with a Bessa). Also, an M mount 35/3.5 with goggles. Also, a very ugly 50/1.5 Xenon suitable only for diffused work (see examples attached, Ektar 100).
Id really like to move this body along so someone make me am offer.
As for lenses, I'll have some test shots in the next week or two and will post them. Shot most of a roll today with uncoated elmar and summar and a collapsible summicron.
