I acquired quite a bit of Kowa 6x6 equipment a number of years ago, but I haven't used it in awhile so it's time for someone new to enjoy it. Here's the thing, it's an inexpensive way to get into a 6x6 slr, and the lenses are really top rate. Kowa was known for their optics. Even today the cinema lenses they made back in day are very sought after.

I really enjoyed using them, especially the Six, it is smaller than a Hasselblad and I think handles better when used with the included side grip.

So here they are. Everything works, and works well. I have used all of it with fine results.

Kowa Six body, 85mm f3.5 lens, side grip, WL finder. I used this most of the time. It is in excellent condition, looks like it was hardly used. It will run 120 or 220 film. The glass has no scratches, marks, etc. It is clean! There may be a speck or two of dust, but that's it. Focus, shutter, etc smooth. You won't be disappointed. $235 + shipping. I'll take care of Paypal fees.

Kowa 66 body with one magazine, WL finder. The later 66 model has interchangeable film magazines so you can change quickly or carry 2 or more types of film and change over (also 120/220 compatible). I imagine this was important to the wedding photographers who used these heavily back in the day. A little bigger than the Six. This was a back up body. Excellent condition, works properly. Previous owner put some "safe" marks with tape in the focus screen- looks easy to remove but I never did. Some marks on the edges of the body but nothing serious. $190 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa 66 body, magazine, 85mm f3.5 lens, side grip, WL finder. Really nice set up. I had this (body/lens/magazine) CLA'd by Kowa guru Ross Yerkes a couple of years ago and ran one test roll through it. New foam in the camera and back, and the shutter of course got a CLA. Set me back $425. Excellent condition throughout, a couple of marks on the body edges. Side grip has been knocked around but works perfectly. The glass is flawless. I have over $650 in this, $375 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa 55mm f3.5 wide angle lens. The glass looks flawless to me. There may be a few dust specks. Shutter, focus all work fine. A few rub marks on the lens body. Comes with caps and the proper Kowa metal lens shade. $135 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa 150, f3.5 telephoto. Glass looks flawless to me. Maybe a few dust specks inside. Shutter, focus all work fine. A few rub marks on the lens body. Comes with caps and the proper Kowa metal lens shade. $135 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa 250mm f5.6 telephoto. Glass looks flawless to me. Maybe a few dust specks inside. Shutter, focus all work fine. A few rub marks on the lens body. Comes with caps and the proper Kowa metal lens shade. $135 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa 250mm f5.6 telephoto, another one. Glass is mostly perfect. No dust. If you look closely into the front of the lens you may see what looks like a little fogging in one of the inner elements. It is a minor coating issue. I sent it in for a CLA and they did the shutter and cleaned the elements but the coating defect remained (apparently this happens sometimes on the 250's). Should not affect photographs. Shutter, focus all CLA'd and not used since. A few rub marks on the lens body. Comes with caps. $125 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa 40mm f4. This is rare. These don't come up for sale very often, I think I looked for nearly a year before I found this one. I can see no defects in the glass. Very few marks on the body from use. I think I used it a couple of times. Focus, shutter, iris all fine. Front cap. $550 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa side grip, in box. Nicely made, cradles body from the bottom rather than the side. Works perfectly, signs of use. Leather strap has seen better days, but does it's job fine. $40 + shipping. I'll cover Paypal fees.

Kowa 66 120/220 film magazines, three of them. Two come with throat covers, one doesn't. Foam looks okay, in all of them. They went on the camera and advanced film. $60 ea with covers, $50 for the one without, + shipping. I'll cover Paypal.

USPS Priority Mail is easy and reasonable for most of this. Smaller stuff should run $7 to 10 to ship, cameras probably about $15. I will combine shipping of course. International is fine. If you buy a lot of the pieces I have a couple of nice metal cases I can ship the gear in, case is free, just pay the shipping. If you're in Los Angeles, local inspection and pick up is encouraged.

I have bought the Kowa 6 with the hand grip, the 85mm, 150mm and 250mm and it has just arrived.
I'd recommend buying from him, he was really helpful and accommodating. The camera is in immaculate conditions and it arrived promptly and well packaged.
I'm really happy with the sale.

Hi jvo,

Cameras, lenses sold. 3 Kowa 66 backs remain and a prism finder. Make me an offer! I can't believe this stuff went so cheap, but that's the market. Amazing what can be had for a couple of hundred $

It looks like it’s been a couple of years since you posted.... do you still have these bits?

Ha! I found the box where the bits were just the other day, so it’s great to make contact. I am out of town until Monday, I’ll make a list of the pieces then if you’re still interested.

Yes, really old! I did come across a prism the other day, don’t recall if it was 45 or 90 degrees. Have to find it. I miss the Six- such a great handling camera. My kids liked using it too. Let me know if the prism is of interest and I will take a look for it. Sold the box full of misc stuff a couple of years ago to aircooledguy.
