----SOLD----
I have a 8x10 Eastman Kodak 2D available.
This camera is complete and in beautiful cosmetic condition.
It comes as shown with the original, matching extension rail and sliding tripod mount block.
The numbers stamped into the rails match
The mechanical condition of this camera is very good to excellent.
Everything works properly and all movements lock down tight.
There are no missing knobs nor any major defects.
The bellows are light tight and in good condition.
Serial number stamped into the top of the rear carriage dates this camera to late 1947 or early 1948.
The lens is a Schneider 300mm f/5.6 Xenar.
It's mounted in a modern Copal #3 shutter.
The optic is clean and clear...and SHARP!
The Copal#3 shutter was CLA'd by Carol Miller a year or two ago.
The shutter operates perfectly (and sounds really wonderful).
The two high fast speeds are about a stop slow but, all others are fine (Carol's hand written speed test results included).
Lens comes, as shown, with the original Schneider front cap and Kodak lens board.
The camera folds up to a nice size and is reasonably light weight for an 8x10.
I'd guess it weighs in around ten or twelve pounds.
This all packs neatly into a Lowepro PhotoTrekker II AW back pack.
Asking $900 plus shipping via US Postal Service Priority mail.
That is for everything...the camera, lens, and the Lowepro backpack.
I can add some film and film holders too if you like.
I'll ship this kit anywhere in North America at cost.
You may pick it up in person for free (preferred) (I live in Sonora and work in the Dublin-Pleasanton-Livermore area).
I'd be willing to ship to select international destinations via US Postal Service Global Priority Mail at something near actual cost but, even at cost, expect it to be (very) expensive.
Cash, paypal or Money Order (the one from the US Post Office only please)
