More and more filters are "designated" digital these days for obvious reasons, they sell to digi shooters better. I've seen no evidence there is a practical difference to using any of them for film with same expected effect. Not much different from current crop of lenses, "optimized" to latest sensors etc.This is a very special filter with an absorbtion curve very different from the standard red ones. Might be especially interesting for special applications.
Though may be used like a standard red one on standard films too.
