I find I just don't use this magnifying hood--I prefer the WLF. It does work really great though if you want to focus even closer. I don't know how well it works with the larger sensors like the CFV 50, but it works great with the CFV I and II (CFV 16) and covers their cropped square viewfinder region perfectly.
Overall in good shape--the rubber eyecup is starting to show some signs of aging, but it still has years and years left.
I may also have a CFV 16 focusing screen available (square crop lines and split prism).
