Hasselblad Acute Matte Screen, Pre-D version (the first version of the acute matte). This one is supposedly brighter than the D version, but I don't know whether that's true.

In very good condition, aside from some cleaning marks (I never cleaned it myself). Comes with a Hasselblad case.

Just out of curiosity... Why is this version $50, but the "D" version is $300? I have the split screen and its way darker than my old Mamiya screens were, so I've been contemplating the D screen.

Simple answer: this is an older screen and it has a simple etched "cross hair," not a microprism focusing aid.

However, I've read a post at photo.net that suggests that the older version is actually brighter than the D version -- but I can't verify that personally.

If you look around enough, you can find a D screen for between $125 - $150, but you have to be patient. Myself, I don't think it's worth the cost (like most Hassie accessories), but that's just me.
