In trying to put together the perfect Hassy system, I've wound up with a number of odds and ends.
Here, for your enjoyment, is a Hasselblad 500elm portrait / studio camera with a 150mm telephoto lens (with cap), an older C12 film back with dark slide, a push button cable release, and a Hasselblad waist level finder. Comes with a 9V battery adapter as well.
THE GOOD: Functions as it is supposed to with a working 9V battery. Finder is in good shape. The back works but has not been tested with film. The shutter on the lens fires strong and the speeds sound accurate; no scratches on the glass. No mold, mildew, or fungus in the lens or body or back.
THE BAD: The lens has haze in it. This haze is visible with the lens off the body when you hold it up to a bright light source. Is it possible that the elements could be removed and that the haze could be cleaned? Maybe, but it probably ain't worth it. At least it isn't haze caused by mold or fungus -- that much is clear (no pun intended).
Then again, a portrait lens with some haze in it might actually be a good thing, if you're used to using those Softar filters
