Hasselblad 40mm f4 T * with extras
For sale, Hasselblad 40mm wide angle T* lens. Lens comes with front and back caps. Lens also comes with the original Hasselblad leather case, not shown. Included is the lens shade, often hard to find and not cheap when KEH has them for sale.
I am including the very cool, one of a kind leather front cap. This was made by a leather-smith for me. It is much like what you would find on a Nikon 300mm f2.8 lens or longer with a drawstring for closure. This custom hood has a beautiful basket weave tooled into the leather and a microfiber cleaning cloth for an inside front surface. (Although he did leave the part of the cloths manufacturer name showing inside, it has caused not issues.) I use this cap all the time because it is fast, looks great and the front cap is slightly worn but usable.
Clean and functional. KEH grade E or better. No issues with glass (some dust) Speeds are accurate to ear and for my exposures. Lens body shows user scuffs and the leather on the lens has shrunk a little over the years and has a small gap where it meets on the bottom of the lens.
Lens was services by Hasselblad in New Jersey in January 2009. Invoice states front cap was for 30mm, the correct cap is included in this sale. It also states it is a C lens, but it is truly a C T* coated lens.
