For sale in USA only. Will ship using USPS pre-paid mailing box. Insurance, shipping and PayPal fee absorbed by me.

Very hard to find OM mount VC Ultron 40mm f/2 lens. These were made in OM mount for only a short time. These lenses are very well built, and are much more refined and smoother in use than typical Zuiko lenses (or pretty much any of my Canon, Nikon, or VC lenses for that matter).

Great condition - optics clean with no cleaning marks, haze, mold, fungus, scratches, etc. Some dust is present inside lens, but does not impact picture quality. The aperture blades are clean, with no oil. Lens operates as it should, and yielded good pictures. This lens provides good quality wide open performance.

Long time Zuiko users should be aware that this lens is based on a VC design for Nikon cameras, so the lens focuses in the opposite direction of Zuiko lenses and the aperture ring and focusing ring positions are opposite of the Zuiko lenses as well.

I am selling much of my little used or no longer used items. I am primarily a rangefinder guy, so the Zuiko heard will be thinned!

Price is $500 USD. USA only. PayPal or postal money order only.

If this is anything like the Pentax version (I have an Ultron SL II... actually, going to sell it soon), then this is an amazing lens.

This is a great lens as well. I believe all the VC Ultron 40/2 lenses use the identical optics. There were several versions, with the early versions like my OM version being almost entirely metal, while later versions used more plastic. The Camera Quest site has some great info on these lenses.

Why does the ad says "Nokton" when it is an "Ultron"?

Because I made a mistake! Thanks for pointing it out. I used to have a Nokton for my rangefinder as well. I guess it stuck in my mind. I have no idea how to fix the original ad.

If anyone knows how to fix it, let me know.

I've "reported" your request to the moderators. They may be able to help.

Updated thread. I think I caught them all.

David,

Thanks for fixing my error!

Ken

I had a Zuiko 40mm lens back when I was still shooting 135 film. The mechanics is as good as any other Zuiko lens and the image quality is just great, but design of aperture ring with filter thread was a pain to use. Ultron looks much better in this way.
Is this the same optics as the current Ultron 40mm f/2 SL Aspherical?

It is my understanding that the newer SL lenses have the same optics as the older SL lenses.

Agreed very much re build and image quality. And also that the aperture ring is too small. I solved that with a step-up ring (49-52mm if I am corrrect).

Price dropped to $450

Bump - dropping price to $450.

Bump. Take a look at my listing for a LTM Ultron 28/1.9 also.

This would make a good stocking stuffer for you.

Check out the Ultron 28/1.9 in LTM. It's also a great deal.
