Okay... This is one butt-ugly Speed Graphic- but it's all there & works well. The rangefinder is sharp, the shutter curtain works, & the bellows are light-tight. Not something to brag about, but quite useful & a perfect entry into LF photography!

$150 + shipping & fees (if any).

Well, if you look closely... there is some tape on the bellows. I added some electrician's goo to make sure there are no more pinholes.

OK OK...you ship it and I'll take it for free...but you must include some additional ElecGoo...just kidding...it looks like a great student user. That camera has real character.

Somebody buy it quick so we don't have to look at it any longer!!!:D

What's wrong with tape on the bellows? If it weren't for gaffer's tape, My old Speed would be a basket case. Between gaffer's tape and liquid electrical tape, my old Pre-Anny Speed is in great shape. I think that the only part with no pinholes is the shutter curtain. That old camera is a beauty, hope someone gets it soon.

Mine looks worse than yours. :D

The tripod mount came off so I had my grandfather, master of the saw and drill that he is, screw a piece of wood to the bottom of the camera into which we put a hollow female screw. Tripod screws into that. Looks horrible but holds it tighter than the old tripod mount did. I'm also about to remove the Kalart, the handle, and other such things and convert it completely into a field camera. I've realized that I really don't work well with 4x5 handheld. The leatherette is coming off of mine, the metal is rusty in places...it's really butt ugly. But the shutter works. I figure that's all that matters.

So someone take this Speed Graphic off his hands. These things can get a lot uglier and still work better than you think.

I hope there is a deal like this around in the future when I get into LF. I doubt that will be for another year or two though so I can't justify the price at the moment.

Thinking about that again...that's somewhat logistically impossible. It was a male thread outside with a female thread inside. Sorry for the confusion. Anyway, it worked.

Can I at least get a laugh? I'm not exactly new to the DIY stuff, but I just find solutions...I frequently forget what things are called.

If it's true the focal plane shutter works, and if you'll send to Denmark, Europe, then I'm interested (?)

Gandolfi- I can send this to Denmark. Yes, the focal plane shutter works... I'll run a test with my electronic shutter speed tester & send an offset sheet with the camera. (I'll PM you with this info.)

^Oh, good to hear! I'll join the chorus and say I think this Speedy is looking beautiful. But then, I fell in love the first moment I laid eyes on my Pacemaker -- and mine is, like Stephanie's, probably in worse shape than this one. :D

I almost did a double take when I first saw it though. Although it has the front standard of a Pacemaker, the body is distinctly that of an anniversary! I've never seen a combination like that before. Certainly adds to it's uniqueness. I hope it finds the love it deserves.

tbeaman- you're probably correct on the body/standard issue... I bought this with a couple of other older Graflex's & I think the original owner replaced the front standard. On the up side: you get some movements with the newer standard, on the down side: you can't make your own wooden lensboards!
