Here is a hard to find Graflex 45 or Combat Graphic (not to be confused with a Combat Graflex), built in 1944 for the US Navy and Marine Corps. Instead of the leather covering and bellows of the Anniversary Speed Graphic, this model has a solid painted wood body with focus via movement of the front element of the Kodak Anastigmat Special lens (basically a 127mm Ektar). The military cameras were painted olive drab but, of the 1500 or so that were made (all were made in 1944), not all saw combat and after the war were painted black (some, like I believe this one to be, were never painted green) and sold for a time as the Graflex 45. This one has what appears to be a coated lens (all of the lenses have a date code of 1944) and a graflex back (unusual since most, but not all, of these had a graphic/spring back). It's in somewhat rough condition - see the photos for details - worn paint (possibly repainted too), some dirt and grime, some rust - but, the focal plane shutter seems to be working quite nicely. Handle is a leather replacement of the original cloth one. The lens shutter is sticky and would need a CLA for you to use it, but the aperture is fine. Focusing is fine but, as is typical for these, prone to jamming up when you get to the ends of travel - it's easy enough to unjam - just rotate the lens front element by hand rather than using the gear train via dial on the outside of the body. Tripod not included.

Asking $300+shipping via USPS Priority Mail, insured. Or, come get it in Northern NJ or NYC (or somewhere in that general area)

Thanks,
Dan
