FYI Grace's Cameras are going out of business and are having a massive clear out sale. He has been in that shop (his father before him) since well before WW2 so he's got plenty of inventory to dispose of. Friday he got rid of his eftpos so cash only, no cc's. It is a shame to see such an institution go - I've been visiting the shop since the early 70's. He expects to have the place cleared out within 2 weeks. Good hunting. cheers, sam

Is that the little shop with a bunch of cameras out the front window?

It is on Victoria Rd. Kings X just near the entrance to the train station on the city side of Victoria Rd. and yes it has/had dozens of cameras in the window.......historically it's been a pawn shop specialising in photo gear.......

A real institution, in reality he was always WAY overpriced. Could be some interesting things though in the clear out.
Agreed. His prices were invariably at least 30% above fair price and went up from there.

Agree and the place always made me a bit uncomfortable - the physical environment and the "vibe" - but I think I bought an Olympus lens there about 10 years ago. I'm surprised it lasted so long in the age of EBay. I haven't seen any advertising for years now.

Over priced, weird vibe....yes. But they sure have some hard to obtain stuff
