For sale is a Horseman 6x9 Roll Film Back in quite good quality, with only a few scuffs and scratches here and there. I purchased this without checking to see if it would fit my Toyo Omega 45e; sadly, it won't, so my loss can easily be your gain.

I would like to ask $80 + shipping, anywhere in the world. Payment to be arranged in ways that suit buyer and seller, but preferably PayPal (don't worry about the 3% fees; I'll eat those.)

Kevin,

If nobody else mentioned this to you, I wanted to make it clear to you. I just went and found a picture of the Toyo Omega 45E and it appears to have a standard Toyo back. The ground glass assembly comes off, exposing two sliding clamps which hold the roll film holder in place. It is true that you can't use the roll holder without removing the groundglass, but it's easy and quick to focus with the ground glass, remove the ground glass, and then attach the roll holder. When you have your picture, put the groundglass assembly back and look for another shot. If you are confused by my explanation, call me at 916-201-7472 and I'll walk you through it. Your Horseman roll holder should work beautifully -- I've been using them for more than 30 years, exactly as I described, with no problems whatsoever. If you want to shoot 120 film, you have the best back available and you should not get rid of it.

Hi gene,

Thanks for your note. Sadly, the horseman back is the same dimension as a 4x5 film holder; so it's about three quarters of an inch short to clip in. The toyo back is 6 inches wide on its sides.

Kevin,

I used to have the Omegaview 45E. I still have a Toyo field camer (pretty much the same back).

This roll film back very definitely DOES fit and work perfectly with the Toyo/ Omega view cameras.

Think about it...it is the same dimensions as a standard film holder. It fits in that very same place...you just have to remove the ground glass carrier first. Do not remove the whole back from the camera...just the part that holds the ground glass. You simply press down on the springs and slide the ground glass carrier off the back....exactly as Gene said above.

I've sent a PM in case you still want to sell it.
