I bought this as part of a lot, thought I might want to convert it and use it on a Spotmatic or Canon EOS but it's too clean to modify.
Glass has some dust and maybe some haze on one element, but it's single coated so it is not readily apparent whether it is light haze or just the elements stacked up. No fungus, separation, both front and rear elements are very clean and scratch free. Some test images on a non-film camera show low sharpness at f/1.4 and close focus (par for the course for this lens), very good sharpness at f/2.0 and smaller. Contrast seems good to very good compared to single coated Takumars and other lenses from the period, even given the single coating and internal dust. See last two images for non-film examples shot at f/1.4 and f/2.0.
Cosmetics are very good, only minor rub marks on the chrome ring where the slip on cap mounts and around the very top edges of the focus ring. Everywhere else is very clean.
Focus is smooth but somewhat more viscous/heavy than I prefer. Aperture blades are snappy/fast to open and shut and oil free.
Will trade for $75 + shipping or film/Canon FL or RF/Pentax 67/Rollei TLR stuff/Portra 400 or Acros or slide film that you can't buy new anymore, etc.
Please PM with interest.
