I have a Green Monster C1 8x10 (at least it is green, I don't know what it weighs) that I have decided is too heavy for me to haul outside with a dog like mine that is always underfoot. I picked up a lighter wp camera and will consider trading this for a lighter wood 8x10 or possibly a 5x7 with 5x7 and 4x5 backs and we can sort out the various values and supplement with cash as needed. I don't need nice looking, perfect cameras, so don't be shy if you can use The Hulk's long lost metallic brother here.

The camera has an ok bellows, gridded ground glass (original Calumet, I think), is kind of beat up and ugly but it is all there and works. One knob has 'arms' on it in its pristine state and they have been mostly amputated, but you can still work the knob. It's just a little harder to do. It has some rusty spots and is not going to win The Miss Hulk Pageant. Not a lot else to say about a C1... They are a solid metal dual rail workhouse camera with lots of movements. Not sure if I have any lens boards for it but they are 6x6. I sorta dropped the wooden lens board I have on there with my universal iris, and knocked a chunk out of the edge so it might not be light tight now. I'd also sell it, I guess, say $250?

PM or email me, please.

If no one pounces, I'll take some photos, but a C1 is a C1 is a C1. I'd rather go out and walk the dog in this beautiful sunshine right now..

You wouldn't WANT any person that this thing would attract...

I probably should check this thing with a flashlight tonight since it hasn't been used in a while. If the bellows are still good, I'll post a couple of photos.

Went ahead and closed the curtains and checked this with a big flashlight. There are pinholes in the last couple of folds near the ground glass on both sides at the top, shown in the 3rd photo. Otherwise the bellows seems ok. The knob with the missing 'arms' is also circled in the 3rd photo.

Lens board, universal iris, tripod, bathroom door, etc, etc is not included.

Ahh... they just need some TLC...

It wasn't difficult to completely disassemble and fully restore mine. Now when I set it up in public it wet-glistens in the sunlight with a high-gloss coat of ultra-durable black expoxy paint. Exposed aluminum surfaces have been buffed to a mirror finish. Standing over 6-feet tall when mounted on a beautiful golden-brown Zone VI heavy duty wooden tripod, with a like-new Calumet royal blue and white focusing cloth draped on the side next to a hanging air bulb shutter release, I've had people (of certain genders) stop their cars just to get out and walk over to have a look. It's quite the sight to behold.

If I didn't already own one, I'd jump on your ad...

I used to get that when I used my Wisner in public places. Everyone was fascinated with it. But I wasn't cool enough to have a royal blue focusing cloth!

If this camera was lighter, I'd keep it. It sucks to get older...
