Up for sale is my Canon VT rangefinder. It's in great shape, with few cosmetic dings, but excellent mechanically. I've put around 20 rolls of film through this camera without issue. I'm only selling it because I've decided rangefinders don't suit me.

The VT model is your typical mid 20th century "Leica Thread Mount" rangefinder, but Canon takes it a step further by adding a bottom trigger-wind (like a Leicavit) and a selectable viewfinder for 50, 35, and "telephoto". The camera is marked "<E-P>" indicating it was sold at a PX in Japan. All shutter speeds work and are accurate, and the shutter is light-tight (a couple pinholes have been patched). There are no light leaks in the body either. This camera is ready to use immediately, no CLA necessary. The only flaws are a few minor dings in the chrome finish (no dents, just minor scratching) and a prior owner's engraved name on the back (tastefully done, not haphazardly scratched with a nail).

It comes with two lenses, an early Canon 50/1.8 chrome-finished lens and a later Voigtlander 35/2.5 "Color Skopar". Also included is the original vertical grip that lets you use the trigger-wind at a high rate of speed while holding the camera steady and a Hoya yellow filter for the 35mm lens. I also have a LTM-to-M43 lens adapter if you want to adapt the lenses to your M43 digital camera.

I have caps for both lenses, though the front cap for the 35/2.5 lens is an ugly 3d-printed one. It works fine, but is not aesthetically pleasing.

$500 shipped within the US
Reasonable offers considered. Trades for full or partial value considered as well. I would be particularly interested in a Canon nFD 24-35mm f/3.5 L or the 20-35mm version.

I'd say this is a great deal for a nice two-lens set. I've got the same camera, it's a nice machine. It took me quite a while to find that authentic handle -- they're not common. And I hear/read good things about the Voigtlander lens, and the Canon 50 is good too. GLWS from your NOVA neighbor!
