I had listed my entire collection of A. Laverne/ Clement & Gilmer stuff for sale as a group, but it didn't sell. I had some inquiries about the individual pieces, so I'll just list them separately. The original collection listing was here, and has some other info posted in the thread on LFPF:

Paypal or USPS money orders are both fine. Shipping will be + $8 in the USA for either item, or both if you want both. $$ to APUG if sold here. Please PM or email if you are interested. Thanks! And my insurance company will thank you if I can pay their bill...

1) A Clement and Gilmer universal iris. The middle goes down to 40mm and up to 90mm in diameter. It needs a small screw to function correctly and two small nuts to hold the faceplate to the rear. You can see where the screw fits into the face of the iris and should be available at a place like Ace Hardware where they keep a selection of small brass screws. The nuts go on 2 small posts, one of which is just below the hole for the screw. I've never seen another one of these. I bought it from an elderly gentleman overseas who had owned it since he was in his early teens. I doubt it would hold a really heavy lens, but most of the C&G lenses are pretty light and I wouldn't trust any universal iris to hold a heavy one without help anyway. $150 now as it is, but if I have to drive 40 miles to go to the hardware store to get the nuts and screw, I'll be raising it...

2) Clement & Gilmer Casket set for 1/2 plate. Contains the barrel and 4 lenses, sunshade hood. No flange. I have a printed copy of the original combination sheet that goes with it, last photo. The individual lenses are 16", 11" and 9 1/2". I also calculated the length and apertures for the lenses used individually and have that written on the rear of the sheet. The box is there but is sort of beat up. The glass is good, and if you use the lenses individually can cover up to 8x10 for the 16", but I'd say whole plate or 5x7 would be the best size. Originally sold in 1892, Lens VM page 58. Asking $300 for it.
