This is a strange one to me - a physically small 18-19", f11 or f12 petzval. It is stamped 'Made in France', but I don't know who the actual manufacturer was. Height is about 3 3/4", diameter of rear glass about 40mm. Diameter of flange about 3 1/4". Easily fit on my Wisner 4x4 lens board. Some dings on the lens shade. Focus knob works smoothly. Some dust and cleaning wisps. Weight 387g.
I have no idea what these might have been made for. I didn't have a camera that would even focus at 19" so sent it to a friend to check on an 8x10. He said : "There seems to be a slight bit of swirl depending on point of focus and background, but it renders out-of-focus areas nicely. Obviously not fast enough for the really dizzying effects, but it has the sharp center to nice bokeh thing going on. "
When I got the rail on my whole plate camera, I also checked it and found basically the same thing. Not dizzying swirls but nice nevertheless, especially in the out of focus areas. I suspect it would give some interesting effects on 11x14.
There is a non-original flange included that I found in my junk box, but it fines fine. There is an obviously non-original Canon lens cap included.
$165 shipped in the USA via USPS priority, insured. Knock off $10 if you've bought one of my other lenses before. I prefer USPS money orders but will take Paypal sent as a gift or if you pay the fees (around 4% of the total). In Australia, I can also take direct deposit.
Yes, I'll ship overseas. You can check your shipping at USPS.com and the rates for a medium flat rate box to your country, including $165 insurance.
