Found this in the recycle box at the local photo store. The diaphragm did not work at all. I took it apart and tried to fix it. I had partial success: it now works manually, but I'm not sure it will snap back open after you take a picture. I don't own any Minolta cameras so I can't test it.
The only reason I brought it home was that it ought not go on the scrap heap, there is a lot of glass and brass in it based on the weight and sometimes people would like a long lens w/o paying a fortune just to have one to play with. Or maybe you take it apart to play with the loose optics. I did that with a badly broken zoom and got a so-so loupe and a LF lomography lens as well as some pieces. All you pay is shipping. There is a front lens cap stuck at the bottom of the case. There is an integrated lens hood.
