This is my personal equipment; from time to time, I have to upgrade my own equipment to brand-new, and I have to do it again, for an upcoming trade show in NYC.
When I buy a new ball head, it will be this exact same head, except that I'll use an FLM proprietary clamp on the new ball head.
I have used this ball head sparingly for the last five months, mostly with medium format, but occasionally with 8x10 as well.
It handles large and small cameras equally well and with great aplomb.
There are two very minor scratches on the base that I can see, maybe a couple of others on the barrel or a knob, but the head is almost new.
Function is flawless.
