This is a very interesting little camera that I recently picked up.
It's a Fed 50 "Abtomat" with a 38mm f/2.8 Industar-81 lens. The zaniest thing about this camera is that it uses a selenium cell, and thus no battery, but can function completely automatically (yes, it actually changes the shutter speed & f/stop)! It can also function in B or shutter priority, defaulting to 1/30th I believe.
It's a weird camera to say the least, but there's also something undeniably "slick" about it. It has a good heavy feel to it, nice metal finishing and doesn't feel cheap like other similarly outfitted point & shoot cameras. This particular example is in mint condition; the vinyl case being the only thing that's blemished.
It's got an honest-to-gosh hot shoe, scale focusing, aperture dial, a good viewfinder display with exposure information (hold shutter half-way down), a threaded cable release and comes with a FED lens cap and lens hood.
As you can see, it's just a bit bigger than a Rollei 35; it's the perfect "throw it in your bag and don't give a hoot" camera.
