no software(I used Vuescan)
no film-guides/holders (can be attained from ebay, I just used this for regular scanning and very basic 'proofing' where sharp scans weren't needed. just to see what was "on" the negatives

This is an excellent pro-level scanner. I've used the predecessor model (Expression 1600) for nearly a decade. It delivers quality scans from everything from 110 to 4x5 and presumably 8x10, if you can find a negative holder for it.
