Selling these enlarging lenses since ive moved to a tri schneider setup (50,100,150mm) and have no use for these anymore. I had a phase of testing diff lenses trying to see which is best. At the end of the day, all 3 big brands are good and unless your doing huge enlargements i didnt see a different.
First is a Leitz Focotar 40mm/2.8 lens. This lens has a reputation of being extremely small and sharp, and indeed it is. Glass is perfect. For use with 35mm negatives. Price is $110 shipped and paypalled
Second, a Rodenstock Rodagon 105mm/5.6. Has the lever for click stops or smooth aperture control. Glass is clean and has a couple minor scratches on the front element that never once showed up in printing, if you want pictures of said scratches ill be more than happy to try and photograph them, but they are so light that even in direct light it takes a certain angle to spot them. Price is $75 shipped and paypalled.
Third, a Rodenstock Rodagon 150mm/5.6. Couple pieces of dust on the glass, again, nothing that ever affected printing, even at the smallest aperture. Other than that, the lens is in excellent condition, still has rodentstock quality seal on it. Price is $125 shipped and paypalled.
Fourth, an El-Nikkor 105mm/5.6 in good condition. Rear of the lens has a slight dent in the metal thats never given me trouble. 39mm screw mount. 2 pieces of dust in the glass. Again, nothing that ever affected prints. This lens was my workhorse for 6x7 negatives for a long time. Price is $80 shipped paypalled.
Finally, an El-Nikkor 135mm/5.6 Chrome ring version. Said to be better than the latter versions but idk, sure looks better but they all perform great. Has some slight scratches on the front element, appear to be cleaning marks. Aperture works great. This lens is great for those who wish to print 4x5 but dont have the column height for a 150mm lens. Price is $125 shipped and paypalled
