In the last couple of years I've turned to contact printing my 8x10 negatives. This wonderful beast has sat quietly in my darkroom looking lonely. I'm hoping I could find a home for the DURST with a fine art photographer who can appreciate the quality of this thing. It's been gently used in my darkroom and shows minor wear. It took me a long time to put together this kit, at significant expense. This is a short list of what's included:
1) LABORATOR 184 column with baseboard
4) LARANEG 10x10 glass negative carrier with TRINOMASK (very rare) 8x10 and 4x5 masks
2) DURST CLS 2000 color light head, with power supply
3) three DURST COLAMP 2000 (bulbs for the head)
5) full set of LARABOX upper and lower mixing boxes (205, 450, 69)
5) Schneider 210mm lens for up to 5x7 negatives
6) Rodagon 240mm lens for 8x10 negatives
7) Saunders 20x24 4-blade easel, well worn but works perfectly.
NOTES:
1) The bulb that is in the head made about 20 prints in all. The other two are completely new. As you surely know, these bulbs are about $350 each. There are enough bulbs here for many years of trouble free printing.
2) The CLS 2000 head is the most modern and expensive head in the DURST line-up.
3) This thing is a beast! It does come apart into three main sections that can be quite easily transported in an average car. While I will not ship this, the buyer may arrange crating and shipping if he/she wishes. I will drive up to 250 miles from Montreal to deliver/or meet the buyer, if I'm reimbursed for gas money. This is much less $$ than shipping for sure! That puts it within reasonable reach of anyone in the Detroit, Montreal, Washington triangle, or of anyone who is more adventurous!
Regarding the price, I will be very flexible. The package/or parts could sell for around $4000 with the three bulbs on the used market. I will accept a lot less than this.
Please feel free to PM, email (luigi@luigipasto.com) or call at 514-834-0555 to discuss further. If you need more pictures let me know.
Cheers,
Luigi
