This is a custom-built Panoramic camera based on a German Wirgin 3D camera and uses a helical mounted 65mm f/8 Super Angulon. The helical is marked for scale focusing (or Zone focusing as Dora Goodman refers to it) at 6 feet, 12 feet, 20 feet and infinity.

The camera gives you a 24mm x 85mm camera. That is 3 1/3 of an inch, a bit wider than the traditional 3:1 aspect of a 6x17 camera and a full 21mm WIDER than an XPan. Shooting the 65mm Super Angulon around f/22 gives you a very sharp image with VERY little fall off.

The camera gives you 12 frames on a roll of 36 exposure of 35mm film. Similar to the Fuji 6x17, you advance the camera four strokes for each frame for shoot.

The camera uses a removable Voigtlander 25mm finder that has been masked to match what the camera sees. It also has a permanently attached Arca Swiss dovetail on the bottom that provides a rock-solid tripod mount and offsets the nose plate that dips under the camera body.

Here is a link to other cameras that I’ve built for people if you want to check them out:
