Hi everybody — making some space and parting with my Contax G2 kit. This is a complete, well-cared-for system that I'd love to see go to someone who'll actually use it. Everything is in excellent working condition and it's being sold with the original boxes, which are increasingly hard to find with these cameras.
The G2 itself has a low shutter count — I've put less than 20 rolls of film through the camera since 2007. The autofocus is snappy and accurate, the metering is spot on, and all shutter speeds fire correctly. No light leaks, no issues. This camera works exactly as it should.
The Carl Zeiss Planar T* 45mm f/2 is the lens that made the G2 famous — a 'normal' focal length with that unmistakable Zeiss rendering. The glass is clean: no fungus, no haze, no separation, no scratches front or rear. The aperture blades are clean and snappy.
Rounding out the kit is the dedicated Contax TLA-200 flash, which couples perfectly with the G2's TTL metering system, along with the off-camera hot shoe sync cable — a handy accessory that's often sold separately and harder to find.

Camera body: Very Good. All functions work perfectly. Minor cosmetic wear consistent with normal use — no dents, cracks, or damage. Viewfinder is clear.
Lens — glass: Excellent. Clean front and rear elements. No fungus, haze, separation, or scratches. Aperture blades clean and snapping correctly.
Lens — focus & aperture: Smooth and accurate. Autofocus couples correctly with G2 body.
TLA-200 flash: Very Good. Fires reliably on all power settings. No issues. Some light wear on the body.
Off-camera cable: Good. Functions correctly.
Boxes: Good. Original boxes for both camera and lens present — some shelf wear on the exteriors as expected, structurally sound.
Manual: Good. Complete, readable, some light wear.
