For Sale FS- Contax G2 outfit - Body, 6 lenses inc 16mm Hologon & 35-70 Sonnar Zoom for G2

I’ve been asked by an old friend of mine, who at 92 has finally admitted he can no longer use all the cameras he has, to sell his Contax G2 outfit. Rather than sell everything individually I’d like to sell it as an outfit at what I think is a very fair price considering you are getting the following:

Contax G2 body – in very good condition. There are a couple of rub marks on the body (see close up photos), otherwise it is in excellent working condition.

Lenses:

F8/16mm Zeiss Hologon with Viewfinder & Contax Gradation filter in original case. I noticed while I was photographing it there are some very slight cleaning marks on the front coating. I only noticed these in very strong direct light, and they have no affect on photos in any way and are not scratches, only marks on the coating.

F2.8/28mm Zeiss Biogon
F2/35mm Zeiss Planar
F3.5-5.6/35-70mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar Zoom
F2/45mm Zeiss Planar
F2.8/90mm Zeiss Sonnar

The above 5 lenses are in very good condition, are free from scratches, haze and fungus, are in very good cosmetic condition, and all work perfectly. I could call them all excellent, but to me an excellent lens is one that is mint. I would rate these between 8 and 8.5/10. All come with original Contax lens caps and rear caps.

Also included are

3 X original Contax lens hoods: Metal Hoods GG 1, GG 2 and GG 3

3 X original Contax 46mm L39 (UV) MC filters

1 X Nikon L37 46mm (UV) filter

Original Contax G2 instruction book.

This is an excellent user outfit in very nice condition…Price? $2100 Australian for the lot.

Postage is extra (must ship by Registered Airmail or EMS courier – will be around $150 worldwide, around $20 for Australia - but it’s up to you how it goes, just remember that once I’ve shipped it it’s out of my hands) – insurance is optional but recommended.

I will make a donation to APUG if it sells to a member here..If not I will sell them individually on ebay. It will be more work for me, but it’s probably worth it as I’ll probably get an extra grand for them that way…..

Wow, this is a screaming deal for anyone down under. Such a nice and complete set, so great in fact that the owner couldn't part with it until way into his 90's. Don't know who to respect more, the set or the man himself. (Well, obviously the man.)

I've been telling him it's silling leaving it sitting in the cupboard. He had a film in it, but had only taken a few shots over the last 6 months. He decided to sell the Hologon a couple of weeks ago, then realised he should sell the lot...
