This thread is almost 5 years old with nary a nibble. In an auction environment, after a no-start, a kickstart is required. I was hopeing a light hearted insult and a lowball bid would encourage something other than flames. Oh well, too stuffy here for me.

I’m sure you realize this, but the subtleties of humor are often lost when there are only words on a screen to communicate the idea. No wry smirk to interpret, no vocal lilt to suggest anything other than face value. It’s not hard to read your bon mots and assume the insult/offer was any more than genuine.

ah, well, no harm done. Thanks for the effort. As these things go, this may just not be the right forum to sell this -- although as I noted elsewhere some of the ones on eBay seem to be the same ones I saw for sale 5 years ago.

What ya gonna do? May just have to let my heirs deal with it.
