Hi Everybody

I've had this for a while, but have no use for it.

So here I'm selling three Carl Zeiss Jena Protar elements with a compur shutter.

The focal lengths are 180mm (marked VII protar), a 224mm (there is no marking as to which series this is, the same goes for the last one, but looking at the serial number it's made before 1909) and the last one is a 285mm.

The glass on all three is in excellent condition. I can't see any marks anywhere. On the 224 and the 285 there is the faintest of balsam separation, but it's at the very edge beyond the image circle. actually you can only see it by tilting the lens to it's side, so it has no effect on performance.

The shutter is a compur. T and B works fine, but it needs a CLA to get the shutter speeds up and running. The shutter is sluggish at all speeds.
I'm unsure that this is the original shutter for the lenses since it's marked f4.5 but then again the 224 and the 285 looks to be the same vintage so maybe. Also although all three elements screw into the shutter just fine, they don't go all the way in (see the pictures).

Last but not least the lensboard isn't included (it's a shame to part it from the Zeiss palmos I'm selling below). The only slight hiccup is that the lensboard also acts as a flange, so there is no flange included either. Good news is that it shouldn't be too hard to find a flange for a compur shutter.

I'm unsure as how to price this. Some protars are crazy expensive and others aren't. This is a very nice set. With two of the protars having the same vintage and the series Vii being approximately 10 years younger than the other 2.

2 yellow filters plus an old cable release are included as well.

How does 440 euros/ 600 dollars plus shipping sound? (If it sounds too expensive please tell me, on the other hand if I'm pricing this too low I would be glad to know as well:tongue:).

Next Up is a beautiful Zeiss Universal Palmos 9x12 plate camera. It doesn't come with a lens (I'm selling that separately!), but a lensboard is included, in which a compur shutter fits (the one I'm selling above actually). It's a beautiful and rare camera in fine condition. Cosmetically it's not too bad, with some paint loss the back. The bellows seem to be in great condition. The ground glass is intact. It comes with a bunch of plate film holders.

How does 75 euros/100 dollars plus shipping sound?

Pictures of everything are here:

Forgot to mention that I would like to move this quickly, so I'm open to offers as long as they are of the reasonable kind:D
