This lens hood is in good but not excellent user shape. Front rim of the hood has some paint loss and brassing. Some light spots of corrosion on the 42mm diameter slip on : Series 6 VI filter adapter, which is the original Canon piece. There is a small depression in one corner midway, just barely enough to detect so it doesn't affect cosmetics unless you are looking extremely close and definitely doesn't affect function. Just making sure any potential parties know it is not perfect. Edges are all straight otherwise. The paint in the engraving is in poor condition but is still legible.
This is a fairly close copy of the SOOMP hood for the Leitz Summar as the 50/1.9 Canon LTM lens was sort of a copy of the Summar/Summitar era collapsible lenses. The vent works great for my M3 (which is not included, neither is the late black Canon 50mm f/1.8 that is modeling the lens hood in the photos) with the vertical portion of the hood being the only part actually visibly blocking view...the horizontal/top is right on edge in the viewfinder so basically disappears.
This lens hood has one corner vented to help mitigate viewfinder blockage and it will work on the 50mm f/1.8 as shown. It will also work with the Canon Sonnar copy 50mm f/1.5 as they have the same filter thread diameter but obviously isn't strictly correct for either of those.
Includes leather case as shown (has the Canon eagle logo on it, decent shape) and the 42mm slip on filter adapter.
Price: $42 USD plus shipping. Please send me a PM if interested in this item, and note what you are inquiring about. PM order will determine response.
Trades: 120 or 35mm film (slide or b&w preferred, but open to anything) or Canon RF lens caps, 34mm filters, Pentax 67 bayonet filters (UV or Red).
Located in 92116, San Diego, USA. Will ship in a box via USPS Priority unless otherwise requested.
Paypal or USPS money order are preferred, other forms of payment may be accepted.
