POWER ZOOM!

Autofocus, taken to the next level. Only two controls on this puppy, just zoom in and zoom out. Autofocus controlled by the camera body with no option for manual focus. What happens if you put this fairly scarce AF-only body on the EF-M, Canon's manual focus only body? I don't know but you sure can give it a try. Maybe the next big idea for Youtube millions. I believe this was the only Power Zoom lens that Canon put out for EF mount and was the kit lens for the EOS 700.


It's a nice compact and lightweight lens, sharp results on APS-C but untested on full 24x36. Glass is clean overall and zoom function worked surprisingly quickly on my 40D. I'm not confident enough to pack this along with my fast primes so it's got to find a new home.
