Super cool lens, great affordable alternative to the 85mm f/1.2L FD. This one is used but in good shape, the aperture blades are clean and free of oil or marks, fungus or blemishes. There is a very small mark just off of the center of the lens that I didn't see until someone was looking for more images of the glass. I missed it the first time, its VERY minor, but it is there.
Both the aperture ring and focus are smooth and even. The focus ring does not have any play when you change focus direction. Some of these older FDn (the ‘New FD mount’) develop some slop or play when you change the direction you are turning the focus ring, this does not have any play whatsoever. The built in slide out lens shade works perfectly, slides out easy but stays put when it is full extended. It’s a nice clean lens that should be used and enjoyed.
Selling to fund another purchase, comes with the proper 'period correct' rear cap but a newer Canon 72mm front lens cap.
