Another VCP donation that we need to turn into cash.
For sale is a black Canon L1 LTM rangefinder
These cameras date from the middle 50's. This one is in good working condition, shutter functions at all speeds, and appears to be consistent based on a couple of test rolls.
These are common in chrome finish, and may be collectable in black,but this one is a user.
According to a collector I consulted, the wind lever, speed knobs and rewind crank should be black on a black camera. These apparently have been replaced at some point, as the finish appears original.
It has a significant bump on the back next to the rewind crank.
The range finder is slightly off vertically. Not enough to affect focusing, but it's an annoyance.
Finally, the frame counter is sticky. It will count down for a few frames then stop.
My expectation is that these last two problems can be easily corrected with a CLA, which it could probably stand anyway. We have no history information, but it's obviously been a well used camera.
The price reflects these flaws.

Canon sports finder
The glass on all the lenses is in excellent shape, no visible scratches or cleaning marks on the elements. Focus and aperture operate smoothly in all cases. Some of the lenses have various internal specks that cause no issues in the images.
