I have a Beautycord TLR camera w/ 80mm 3.5 lens for sale. It is actually in really great shape. The leatherette is still in good shape, lens looks clean & clear. I have run a few rolls of 120 through it and shutter seems very accurate at both fast & slow speeds. Aperture blades seem nice & snappy.
I would like to get $80 plus shipping for it. Thanks for looking
Its a beauty - could you tell me a little more about this camera? It is not one that I am familiar with. (I have a couple Yashica's that I enjoy (a Yashica-D and a 635)

I believe this is a Beautycord Model S, produced by Taiyodo Koki, TKK, Japan, around 1955. There were many variations with different names on the lens for different markets. I'm not sure if this particular version has a three or a four element taking lens. The lens was also named Tri-Lauser in other similar variations.
There was a series of 35mm cameras called Beauty Canter, made from 1957, also made by Taiyodo.

I had the 35mm Beauty Canter in the late 50's. It was a nice handling camera, a good range/viewfinder, and a quite a good lens. According to its instruction manual, courtesy of Mike Butkus http://www.cameramanuals.org/pdf_files/beauty_canter_35.pdf the f1.9 lens used lanthanum rare earth glass, and the resolution chart in the manual shows excellent performance. I got many, many fine sharp shots with it until the shutter "blew up." Finding the repair cost too high, I replaced it with a 127 Komaflex S, which I still have.
And yes, when entering Canada from the US I was asked the make of the camera at customs. I replied "It's a Beauty," and the official replied, "And so it is!"
