This is all stuff that sat on LFPF for weeks. I dropped the prices quite a bit. So the prices are low, low, low, low.

Despite that all of these books are pretty awesome, or I wouldn't have had them. I'm paring down my belongings because I'm planning on living on a sailboat most of the time.

1) $25 + 3.99
Light Science and Magic 3rd Edition - Hunter, Biver,Fuqua. $29 $ $3.99 S&H.
Will throw in Best Business Practices for Photographers (not worth anything on amazon but a good book).

The lighting book is really fundamental, definitely applicable to natural light/strobes/etc. Mostly like a science of light as used by photographers. The business book is basically how to make a photography business function and how the business works. The guy is pretty ruthless about getting paid, which I guess makes sense. Anyway, the business book is free. And the lighting book is heavily discounted!

2) Lenswork Magazines
47, 53, 57, 60, 65, 66, 67, 68, 86 and 87 (10 total).
$40 + 8 S&H

3) August Sander: People of the 20th Century 7 Volume Set.
$450 + free shipping

An excellent ++++ copy. Very close to new. You can look online, you will not find a copy this nice for anywhere near this price. I have this on ebay and amazon for a lot more but happy to sell it here for this price.

4) Two zone system books + Horenstein $10 + $3.99 All in good user condition
The Practical Zone System - Chris Johnson, 3rd Edition
Beyond the Zone System - Phil Davis
Black and White Photography - A Basic Manual - Henry Horenstein

5) Group of two books $15 + 3.99 S&H
Camera - Tood Gustavsen
Celebrating the Negative - John Leongard
Camera is a great, great book, on my list for possibly holding on to. Every camera geek should have a copy. So well done. Mine is in excellent condition, it has a sticker on the back and a few creases on the cover. Celebrating the Negative was recomended on The Online Photographer, it's a pretty interesting book. Mine is in good shape, some tears on the cover, a sticker on the back. A great reading copy.

6) Group of Three Books $20 + 5
Dawoud Bey - Class Pictures
Yann Arthus Bertrand - Being a Photographer
Atget - Paris
I think Dawoud Bey might be the greatest living portraitist. I saw him speak at the PRC. Such a smart dude. I just felt dumb in his presence. Anyway, really well excuted portraits, a total project. Bertrand was very influential on me, doing portraits of groups of people at events. Really nice lighting. And aerial photography too. Both are in very good condition. Atget book is like new or excellent ++++

7) Using the View Camera - Steve Simmons. Nice copy. Cheapest copy on Amazon is $30 (??!!??).
$10+3.99

8) (Two Books)
Now $10 + 3.99
Diana & Nikon - Essays on Photography by Janet Malcolm. Really interesting essays. I started this and got distracted. Very tempted to keep it to read. But it all must go!

Witness in Our Time - Working Lives of Documentary Photographers - Ken Light - Great book of interviews. Not worth much on amazon, so I'm throwing it in with the Malcolm book.

$21.24 is cheapest for a "good" copy of Malcolm on Amazon.

9) 7 books (4 medium and 3 small)
Now $18 + 3.99
Unmasked and Anonymous - Shimon & Lindemann Consider Portraiture - pretty interesting little book, a mixture of the authors portraiture with vernacular portraiture and some selected stars too (Avedon). Excellent condition.
Everything that Rises - Lawrence Weschler - I love this book. He makes connections between different artworks. Very interesting and well written. "Girls In Their Turning" for instance compares Richter's "Better" with Vermeer's "Girl with a pearl earring" and a painting of Velasquez. Changed the way that I think about art in general.
Visions From America - Photographs from the Whitney Museum of Art 1940-2001. Excellent condition. Nice general overview of mostly modernish photography.
Conversations - Photography from the Bank of American Collection - MFA Boston exhibition overview. Small but nice...23 pages. General photography overview.
The Wheels Project - Ken Richardson/Jasen Strickler/Andrew MK Warren - 20 page exhibition overview. All photographs about motor vehicles. Cars/Hot Rods/Motor Cycles. All local to the Boston area. Really beautiful B&W photography. Great stuff.
Superficial Snapshots - Allison V Smith - Cool little zine of really nice color work. Sometimes a teacher at the Workshops in Maine. She self-published it via a print online thing. It's quite good. I've always liked having it.
Ways of Seeing - John Berger

There are more pictures on LFPF but generally you can believe my grading of the books. Have sold a ton recently on LFPF with many very satisfied customers.

Also, I can recommend Ken Light's book. Really good if you're interested in documentary photography.
