FS: Apo Germinar 360mm f/9 Lens in Barrel. Lens made in the German Democratic Republic - aus Jena DDR
Condition: Glass is clear with minor dust and a fine hairline scratch on one inside element and a small smear of fungus on one inner edge. Minor marks on the front lens coating. Aperture rings turns smoothly, aperture blades look clean. Some marks on the front of barrel but very little wear over-all. Should shoot beautifully on 8 x 10 and possible 11 x 14 but verify that larger format.
Specs: Dialyte lens design, 4-elements in 4 groups, 46 degree coverage, image circle 596mm at f22. Designed as a process lens, optimized for 1:1 reproduction ratio, will work at infinity stopped down. Optimized aperture f/22. Apo Germinars were the successors to the Apo Tessar process lenses. The current configuration of the classic Dialyte type process lens with 4 elements in 4 groups was introduced in 1962. By the serial number it looks like this lens was produced
1982 to 1988.
Comes with original retaining ring and a Vivitar generic front lens cap.
