Hello
For sale is my Afga Record III, a highly rated German 6x9 folding camera from the mid-late 1950's. This particular model Agfa Record is the rare top-of-the-range model with a 10 bladed Synchro Compur MX leaf shutter with speeds similar to contemporary cameras. Taking lens is the very highly regarded, coated 4 element Solinar f4.5 105mm. Camera comes with an original leather ERC lined in luxurious purple velvet.
The Record was purchased from Jurgen Kreckel who performed a full CLA on the shutter & lens & also calibrated the rangefinder. Optics are pristine without any visible defects to coatings, no haze, mould, dust, element separation. Synchro Compur shutter performs immaculately, focus is smooth, rangefinder is spot-on. Cosmetically the camera is very good with just some minor signs that it has been used and adored & not just on display.
Must note that this Agfa Record has no leather, nor pleather coating like most cameras of the same era, the body coating is a unique & beautifully intricate Robusit moulding that did not harm any farm animals & is very tactile.
Reluctant sale (due to matrimonial pressures!) asking exactly what I paid for this camera: $375
Payment via Paypal, I am offering free USPS postage with tracking to mainland USA, insured postage would be charged at cost. International buyers would be charged USPS International postage at cost to your location. I do not add transaction fees, packaging or transit expenses to postage charged.
I occasionally list personally owned camera gear on the big auction website for over 12 years now (same user name, also same name for flickr) & proud to have 100% feedback. I treat any sale with utmost regard & meticulously pack parcels as if they are addressed to myself.
Camera is from an non-smoking & pet dander free household.
Thanks for looking.
Best
alex
