These are extras I picked up from a friends studio last year when he abandoned film. I think I tidied up a couple from the box for myself, but really have way more than I need. 3 look pretty nice and could probably be used straight away, but all could stand at least some attention. Most of the little "L" screws that keep you from accidentally pulling the slide are missing; a lot of studio shooters removed those so as not to accidentally bump the camera out of alignment when pulling a slide. For myself, I generally give the holders a good cleaning and check out before use, repairing anything that concerns me.
5 total, 2 may just be useful for parts/repair, or to make one good.
1. The best looking to me is a Graflex Kodak with metal top plate and slide. No "L" screw darkslide retainers and you may or may not want to retape the bottom flap, but looks ready to go with a cleanup check out.
2. & 3. Look pretty good/useable with minimal attention. They look the same; one labeled Folmer Graflex, the other Eastman. Both have good slides (one has some scraping where labeling tape was removed). Nailed wooden tops over the dark trap - easily removed for repair and dark trap work. Some wear to the raised wooden ridge that locks the holder into place on the camera, with one showing significant damage. All 4 sides are probably useable as is, but I personally would repair the worst one. No "L" screws.
4. Lisco with metal top plate. Looks pretty good, but both bottoms flaps have some damage. Good dark slides. For repair, or use for parts. Or use the dark slides for #5 below.
5. Plastic Lisco Regal. Looks good, but dirty and missing darkslides (has both "L" screws"). I think you could use the slides from #4 with this one. One seems to fit fine as is, and the other is just a bit tight. I imagine it could be made to fit well with just a little sandpaper or file work on the sides.
