This was a project 8x10 that i've finished work on (about 40 hours of restoration work)...
body: is a century universal from about 1935...
condition:
-all movements work perfectly (tho may not be a free flowing as a newer body)
has front rise fall tilt and shift and rear tilt
-rise know has been replaced but functions the same...
-name plate is missing and some minor screws missing
-brass has been stripped of grey coating and covered in clear laquer
-bellows are light tight and of great condition for the age of the camera soft and supple
-shellac has been stripped and replaced with tung oil looks alot better than it did when it came to me!
-top shows some wear
- body has some minor dents from decades of use and front bed looks like had minor crack that has been repaired but all in all great condition
Lens board is a homemade to hold technika lens boards
comes with hommade ground glass protector
lens: g claron 240mm in copal 1 shutter... the shutter aperture scale is not the one for this lens but the f4 correlates to f8 on this lens... shutter speeds sound accurate to the ear... glass is free of haze and fungus... threads in front are difficult to thread so I put on a step up ring that makes it easier and more convenient to standard filter sizes
8x10 holder is a standard kodak wooden holder that i have used personally and is free of leaks... and will come with about 50+ sheets of xray film cold stored
all in all a great body to use and you'll have everything needed to start shooting 8x10
kit includes: body, lens board adapter, technika lens board, 240g claron lens, 1 8x10 holder, 4x5 reducing back, 8x10 back, ground glass, ground glass protector, and xray film (green sensitive cxr)
850$ obo + shipping
